Printeltech has succesfully organized the 4th International Fall School on Organic Electronics (IFSOE-2018) held on September 16 - 20, 2018 in “Soyuz” Hotel, Moscow region, Russia.

Organic Electronics is a booming multidisciplinary field that unites efforts of chemists, material scientists, physicists, and engineers in a quest for the new generation of flexible lightweight, and transparent electronic optoelectronic devices such as organic solar cells (OPV), field-effect transistors (OFET), light-emitting transistors (OLET), light-emitting diodes (OLED) etc. The IFSOE traditionally covers all key aspects of Organic Electronics to give the attendee a comprehensive view of the field from materials and fundamental physics to devices and applications.

As a part of the school the Satellite event – the IFSOE’s Sensor Day - was organized on 21st September 2018 in the Soyuz Hotel, after the regular School schedule. Nowadays the sensing properties of organic electronics materials are intensively investigated. The light, pressure, various chemical and biochemical sensors based on organic materials have been successfully implemented. Such novel devices can be utilized in smart, portable, energy efficient sensing systems.

In 2018 the IFSOE’s Sensor Day was organized for the first time. Its goal was to find common interests and collaboration opportunities for the fields of organic electronics and sensors, to establish scientific cooperation between Russian and foreign groups working in both fields as well as to inform young scientists, postgraduates and students about the latest major developments and to teach the fundamentals in the field of sensors.
